Breeze Hawaii is a PADI 5 Star Career Development Center. This
means we can take you from whatever level you currently are, even , non
diver and teach you to be a great PADI instructor. We also offer courses
for instructors who want to continue their education.
Professional Level Courses
- Career Development Center Program - Experience Program
- This program allows you to gain experience with real customers and
accumulate dives in a professional environment for an extended
period of time while working your way up to and through the professional
levels. Cost: 6
Weeks - $600, 2 months - $800, 3 months - $1000
- Divemaster
- This course is the gateway to being a PADI dive professional. Divemaster
covers a broad range of the diving knowledge as well as the skills
to
prepare for and lead PADI programs and dives. Prerequisite: minimum
age - 18 years old, Rescue Diver ,20 logged dives to start course,
60
logged dives to finish course. Cost: $500 with CDC-Experience Program,
$750 for 5 days course w/o experience, $1000 for 2-week course with
hands on experience. PADI

- Assistant Instructor
- This 4 day course offers you more flexibility as a dive professional
and is the first part of the IDC. See prerequisites
. Cost: $600 PADI application fee: $35
- IDC Prep Course
- IDC Prep Course is designed to help perfect the knowledge and skills
from the Divemaster course. Course covers standards and procedures knowledge,
dive theory knowledge, and skills demonstrations. A 5-day program conducted
immediately prior to each IDC. Each day covers a different topic. You
can attend only the days you need. Cost: $500/all 5 days = $100/day,
$120/day for pool
- Instructor Development Course (IDC)
- 8 days. The IDC familiarizes you to the PADI system of diver education,
standards and procedures, and teaches you how to teach divers from
introductory dives up to and including the first level of professional
diving, Divemaster. This course is scheduled prior to each Honolulu
PADI Instructor Examination (IE). See prerequisites. See IDC/IE schedule. Cost: $976 PADI application
fee: $100
- Instructor Exam (IE)
- The IE is a 2 day examination where you demonstrate your diving
knowledge and teaching skills, learned from Divemaster through IDC.
This is where you show you are ready to be an instructor. This program
is conducted by PADI. See IDC/IE schedule. Cost:
$440
Instructor Level Courses
- EFR Instructor
- As an EFR Instructor you will be able to conduct the EFR course.
This enables you to teach all components needed for the Rescue Diver
course. This one day course is offered the day following the IE.
- Specialty Instructor
- We can train you to be an instructor in over 20 different specialties.
Regular courses follow each IE, but all are available at anytime. Cost:
$200 and up
- Master Scuba Diver Trainer
- This course prepares you to teach 5 different PADI specialty courses
and earn the rating of Master Scuba Diver Trainer when your ready. Regular
courses follow each IE, but all are available at anytime. Cost: $1000
(10% discount if paid with IDC)
- IDC Staff Instructor
- This course trains you to teach Assistant Instructors and assist with
IDC Courses. It begins with 2 days of learning before an IDC. It finishes
with you auditing (observing) a complete IDC. Total 10 days. Cost:
$650

PADI Application Fee : After completing any professional level
training course this fee must be sent to PADI with your application.
Professional Materials: Typical costs for professional materials
from Divemaster through Instructor run approximately $600. See
materials list.
Tank Rental & Facility Usage Fee: This is an $80 charge which
covers all tank and facilities usage,(pools, etc.).
